Barnt
German DJ and electronic musician Barnt produces focused yet exploratory club tracks that recall kosmische and minimalism as much as house and techno. He is the co-founder of the Magazine label as well as a member of the supergroup Cologne Tape. Barnt's output includes a string of club hits such as What Is a Number, That a Man May Know It? (2010) and His Name (2014), as well as the 2014 full-length Magazine 13.

Render
Based in Cologne, Daniel Ansorge established Magazine with co-founders Jens-Uwe Beyer and Crato during the summer of 2010. The label's first release was Cologne Tape's Render, an abstract session featuring Ansorge and Beyer as well as Kompakt artists Jörg Burger and Axel Willner (The Field), among others. Barnt's more club-friendly What Is a Number, That a Man May Know It? soon followed, causing a stir throughout the underground club scene. Is This What They Were Born For? appeared on Magazine in 2012, and other 12"s were issued by Mule Musiq, Cómeme, and Nachtdigital. Barnt's acclaimed remix of C.P.I.'s "Proceso" appeared in 2014. Later in the year, the tense, stuttering His Name EP and expansive full-length Magazine 13 were released. Remix 12" Magazine 131 appeared in 2015, and Barnt collaborated with Michael Mayer on his 2016 full-length &. Split between ambient and club sides, If She Says She Is a Healer, She Is a Healer was issued by Holger in 2017. Barnt launched a label called Schalen with his 2019 EP High Hopes and Local Fame.
