Even Kjelby

Even Kjelby is a musician, songwriter and producer from Bergen, Norway. With a strong focus on creating "other" sounds – whether melodic or sonic – Even has always aimed to wrap creative experimentation in a recognizable format. He is driven by finding strong melodies and moods that capture the listener.

For Even, lyrics are just as important as the sound, and he writes both for his own project. He spends a lot of time perfecting every aspect of his artistic expression, working closely with the details.

After starting to play drums as a teenager, Even took his first steps in production and songwriting in 2008, when he began making beats for friends who rapped.

In 2015, Even started the band Great News; a successful whose two albums were produced by himself. This marked an important step for him, as he had the opportunity to explore pop-rock expressions and develop his skills as a producer in a completely new way. Today, Even is less focused on genre and more focused on creating music that feels authentic and spontaneous. He currently works with a large selection of Norwegian artists, many of them being from the MADE roster.
